Starting to feel a little more comfortable with the flow of these ā less overthinking, more trusting the process. Each portrait is teaching me something new about balance, timing, and when to stop before itās overworked.
Today I was so excited to paint @alexisss_rhea & Camden as my couple. Painting even the small details makes a portrait come to life. These little moments are quickly becoming my favorite part of the practice.

Today I focused on getting my time down and finding a rhythm that still feels thoughtful. Learning how to simplify shapes, trust quicker brushstrokes, and let the painting stay loose without losing the likeness.
Itās a different kind of challenge, but a really important part of watercolor wedding guest portraits and live wedding painting ā capturing someone in just a few minutes while the celebration is happening around you. Iām learning so much through the repetition.

One of my favorite parts of this series so far has been painting couples at different stages of life. Every portrait feels different ā different energy, different posture, different story ā but all rooted in the same kind of celebration.
Todayās watercolor wedding guest portraits were inspired by that contrast, and it reminded me how meaningful live wedding art can be for every guest, not just one moment or one age. Iām learning so much by paying attention to those small differences.

Each day Iām noticing new little things ā brush pressure, color mixing, how much personality can come through in just a few details. Iām learning a lot and enjoying this process more than I expected.
